The correct procedure to wear a Manik stone is as follows:

• Wear a Manik weighing between 3 to 6 carat. This is best suited for most lay people.
• Get a Gold or Copper ring to accompany it. Both the metals give positive and effective results.
• Wear the Manik stone on Sunday before 7:00 am in the morning. Try wearing it in the Shukla Paksha if possible.
• Keep the stone in Ghee for some time and wash it with Ganga water before wearing it for best results.
• While wearing this stone burn 5 sticks of incense and pray to the god Sun for your well-being. Now hold the ring in your hand and round incense around the ring for 11 times.
• Wear it in your Ring finger.
• Offer water to the Sun before wearing it and while reciting the mantra "Om Hrim Sum Suryaya Namaha".
• After that repeat the mantra daily for at least 108 times to get the blessings of Sun god.
